Kappa Alpha Theta @ Tufts University
Graphic Designer and Event Chair
#TLAM
As the graphic designer for Kappa Alpha Theta at Tufts University, I had the privilege of contributing to the sorority's impactful Sisterhood events and the Casa fundraiser. These experiences allowed me to utilize my design skills to enhance the organization's online presence and facilitate its mission of fostering unity and supporting the community.
One of the major events I was involved in was the Casa fundraiser, where I played a key role in creating the program. By carefully crafting the layout and incorporating visually appealing graphics, I aimed to captivate the audience and generate excitement for the event. Additionally, I collaborated with the organizing team to design promotional materials, such as flyers and social media posts, to attract various Tufts groups to perform at the fundraiser. Through these efforts, I successfully helped increase engagement and attendance, ultimately contributing to the success of the event and raising funds for a meaningful cause.
Furthermore, I contributed to sustaining the sense of sisterhood within Kappa Alpha Theta by assisting with Sisterhood events. One notable example was designing graphics for the Open House event. With the goal of attracting new members and expanding our sisterhood, I created visually compelling materials that showcased the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere of Kappa Alpha Theta. By leveraging my design skills to give the sorority an online presence, we were able to reach a wider audience and increase interest, leading to an influx of new members and strengthening the bonds within our community.
Through my role as a graphic designer for Kappa Alpha Theta, I not only had the opportunity to contribute to important events and fundraisers but also to foster a sense of unity and support within the organization. By utilizing my design skills to create visually appealing materials and enhance the sorority's online presence, I played a significant role in attracting new members and contributing to the success of various initiatives. These experiences have not only enriched my portfolio but have also deepened my understanding of the power of design in creating impactful and meaningful connections within a community.
